  1. INTRODUCTION

 

SJKC Kuen Cheng 1 would like to invite interested players to participate in its 10TH KUEN CHENG 1 CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP 2025 which will be held on-the-board on 6th July 2025, 10am-6pm.

 

This tournament is open to primary school going children, is National-rated and targetted to be recognised by Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia for PAJSK curriculum points.

 

 

  1. TOURNAMENT CATEGORY

 

There are two (2) categories in this tournament.

 

i)  Under-10 (Born 2015 or after)

ii) Under-12 (Born 2013 or 2014)
 

 

2. SCHEDULE

 

Date:    Sunday, 6th July 2025

Time:    10am – 6pm (All categories)

 

 

3. FORMAT

 

Players are required to complete all 7/8 rounds. 

 

Winners are chosen based on highest accumulative points of all the rounds. 

 

Venue:                Dewan SJKC Kuen Cheng 1, Jalan Belfield, Kuala Lumpur

Time Control:      25 minutes (Rapid)

No. of Round:      7 or 8

Pairing:               Swiss System

Score:                 Win – 1 point, Draw – ½ point, Loss – 0 point

All categories –
Early Bird till 10 June 2025 @ RM35 including 10th anniversary T-Shirt
Normal Price @RM50 including 10th anniversary T-Shirt

All participants (excl winners 1-10th) will receive Certificate of Participation

 

Every Winner is entitled to one (1) prize only.
