1. INTRODUCTION

 

SJKC Kuen Cheng 1 would like to invite interested players to participate in its 11TH KUEN CHENG 1 CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP 20256 which will be held on-the-board on 11th July 2026, 9am-5pm.

 

This tournament is open to primary school going children, is National-rated and targetted to be recognised by Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia for PAJSK curriculum points.

 

 

1. TOURNAMENT CATEGORY

 

There are two (2) categories in this tournament.

 

i)  Under-10 (Born 2016 or after)

ii) Under-12 (Born 2014 or 2015)
 

 

2. SCHEDULE

 

Date:    Saturday, 11 July 2026

Time:    9am – 5pm (All categories)

 

 

3. FORMAT

 

Players are required to complete all 7/8 rounds. 

 

Winners are chosen based on highest accumulative points of all the rounds. 

 

Venue:                Dewan SJKC Kuen Cheng 1, Jalan Belfield, Kuala Lumpur

Time Control:      20 minutes (Rapid)

No. of Round:      7 or 8

Pairing:               Swiss System

Score:                 Win – 1 point, Draw – ½ point, Loss – 0 point

 

 

4. ENTRY FEE & REGISTRATION

 

All categories – RM50 including T-Shirt
